Snow Day, Christmas, and other Holiday Stuff

The day before Christmas vacation was snowed out with two feet of snow.  I was so happy we got an early vacation.  We played in the snow half the day, and had a blast.  Mark, Abbie , and I made a super cool snow fort, and had a snowball fight with our neighbors.

Mark and I also made a gorgeous snow horse that you could actually sit on.  It was so fun!   DSC_0087

A few days later we went sledding with my cousin Meagan.  They had some nice gentle jumps at the golf course, and it was even more fun with inner tubes so your behind was not back and blue by the time you were done.

Christmas was a blast.  We unwrapped presents and went to go have lunch with my Great-Grandma Jennie.  Then we went to Grandma’s house for Christmas dinner.  My favorite present was a brand new pair of rollerblades.  I also got a Willow Tree figuring from my primary teacher.

A few days ago it was warm enough for me to try out my rollerblades.  Abbie and I put them on and had fun trying them out, except for when Abbie slipped.

A few days ago Abbie accidently got hit in the eye with a towel, and the next morning it still hurt.  Mom took her to the eye doctor, and it turned out that she had popped a blood vessel right on the edge of the colored part of her eye.  Now Abbie gets to wear sunglasses all day.  If it is not better by Monday she gets to wear them to school all day.  I told mom that she should write on the note that Abbie had to wear them all day on doctors orders, and that so she wouldn't be embarrassed, her sister would wear them too.  Mom said I was very funny.

Happy holidays, and I will try to post more often.

Awesome song!

This is my new favorite song!

When I grow up, I hope to be half as good as he is!

Funny Pictures

Yesterday my friend Sheri came over to play.  After doing a craft that didn’t work, we decided on hide and seek.  We persuaded Abbie to come play with us and Sheri offered to be it first.  I made a scramble for the closet to bury myself with coats.  That is my favorite place to hide, because it is so hard for people to find you.  After a couple of minutes, Sheri opened the door.  She found me.

We headed off on a search for Abbie.  We ventured into mom’s room.  Sheri had not gone in to look there earlier because Neil was taking a  nap, and she did not want to wake him up.  Since Sheri is so tall she asked me to look in the closet for her.  I looked in far back and saw Abbie’s feet.  “Hey Abbie”  I hissed.  She didn’t do anything so I puled my head out of the closet.  “Was she in there?” asked Sheri.  I told her.  Now Sheri stuck her head in the closet and called Abbie’s name. Sheri came out of the closet.  “Is Abbie asleep?”  she asked.  That was surprising!  I pulled open the closet and this is what I saw.DSC_0057
